Life,
like fluid streams
of water flowing
down hill,
will always take
us where we
need to go.

But that doesn’t
mean our waters
won’t pool
or dam
or erode
in the process
of their course.

I know it isn’t
always easy,
but my dear one,
nobody said it
would be easy
-just that we’d be
given a chance to
flow.

Always trust
that you will reach
your destination.

Always know
there is truth in the
mud and the stuck
and the low.

And always remember
that life, like water,
flows best…
when we
release,
relinquish,
rescind expectations
of our course,
and allow life
room to grow.
