There she resides on a hill,
serene in stature.
Her presence unwavering
in life’s fiercest storms.

She reminds us, we each have
a piece of her inside ourselves—
the ability to rise, stand strong
and shine our light when
the world feels dark.

She doesn’t always say much.
Most days I do all the talking.

But I know she’s listening and that
the ocean currents carry my words
to the folk of the sea,
the whales of the deep,
and the spirits of the Great Mystery.

Today I say, Thank you.
For the chaos and the magic.
For the endless flow of possibilities.
For just being a part of the immortal stream.

And then I ask her how she is doing.
In rarity of speak, she sends a message back
through waves blue sweep
with happiness and mirth:

I am here to be a part of the beauty of the earth.
And you too – each of you – are here to be a part
of the beauty of the earth.
