These days I’m trying hard
not to try so hard.

To be in the blues
and the greens
and the yellows of the day – –
let life’s current unfold…
and lead me where
they may.

To reach when it’s time
and rest when I need,
to live at a self-honoring pace
that acknowledges
the seas of
my introvert deep.

We weren’t meant to be
in constant motion,
perpetually busy, busy bees,
but instead to take time
to experience life – –

Be present in a moment
and simply receive.
